Founder
Dr. T.L. Mukenge
Dr T.L. Mukenge is an emeritus professor at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA, and founded the Africana Studies Program there. Dr Mukenge was born and raised in Luba villages in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, DRC. In 2009, after many years of absence, Dr Mukenge visited Mpoyi and was struck by the high level of absolute poverty and resulting high numbers of non-schooled and school dropouts. Coins of Hope was born in 2010 as a collective effort to address Mpoyi’s critical challenges.

Muadi Mukenge
Ms Mukenge brings over 22 years of experience in program management in international development and grantmaking, with a focus on Africa, public health, and women’s empowerment. Ms Mukenge collaborates with Congo staff to coordinate program activities. She manages finances, fundraising, donor reporting, and leadership training.

Dieudonné Ngoyi
In Congo, the project is managed by Ngoyi Muadiamvita Dieudonné, a State Inspector for Education. He oversees the COH school, farming, construction and project reporting. He also leads the implementation of the summer school and new projects.

Serge Kapiamba
Serge Kapiamba Binunu is the Communications Coordinator and is responsible for youth mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and leadership training. He is a member of Youth Connect, a platform for encouraging development initiatives by youth, particularly girls.
